Toys R Us Offers Free Figure, $20 Gift Card for ODST Purchase

Attention Halo fans: Have you any plans to purchase Halo: ODST this week? You do? Well then, you’d probably like to know about a pretty sweet deal Toys R Us will be offering with the game. If you purchase it at a TRU store before September 26, you’ll get a $20 Toys R Us gift card and free Halo action figure thrown in (via Joystiq).

Of course, this is provided that you still have a local Toys R Us store nearby, which isn’t quite as much of a sure thing as it may have been about 20 years ago, when Geoffrey Giraffe ruled the toy store market with an iron hoof. Toys R Us also offered a similar free-gift-card deal with the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum last month, so we can only hope this will become a habit with the retail chain for more big upcoming releases.
